In this exercise, the events surrounding the "Anschluss" of Austria to the National Socialist German Reich in 1938 are examined from the perspective of victims and opponents of the Nazi regime. The students thus get a new perspective on these events, besides mass enthusiasm and hysteria.Materials used:
